James Kim Found Deceased

I was deeply saddened to hear that James Kim was found dead today in the Oregon wilderness. While I did not know James Kim, I did feel a kinship with him, as I am sure many did in the tech community here in the bay area. We lost one of our own.

You hear about heroes all the time, and certainly a great many are serving overseas in these troubled times. But seldom do you find one in your own back yard. I can only imagine the conversation Kim had with his wife just before he set out on his own, as she likely begged him not to go. I can’t pretend to know the grief she and her family are going through right now, knowing that if he’d only waited a few more days, their family would still be whole.

Our thoughts and prayers are with James Kim and his family on this sad day.

A More Prurient Kind of Post… Mr. Philippines

entertainment, photography No Comments »

We recently attended the Ginoong Pilipinas 2007 male pageant (also known as Mr. Philippines) and have had many requests to post the photos from the event online. Ginoong Pilipinas celebrates the Filipino male and provides acting and modeling opportunities to its winners.

While somewhat prurient in nature, I hope you enjoy looking at the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them. 🙂 Apologies in advance to my parents if they stumble across this post as they are likely not used to something this risque 🙂
