I agree and disagree with Mark. I understand his point about glorifying celebrities (which I don't think Heath is one) and honesty around the possible cause of death. But this John Gibson guy does not have the RIGHT to make a mockery of Heath Ledger's death. I agree that everybody has the right to their opinion and that's all fine and good but to make a joke about someone's death just crosses SO many boundaries of human decency here.
I wrote to Fox Network and urged them to FIRE him, why can't we ask for the same thing that Don Imus got for saying what he said.
Maybe I feel strongly about this because he played a role that was very dear to most gay people, okay, I'll admit that. But I felt a similar way towards Anna Nicole Smith when she passed away. We all know she was drugged up and died of cardiovascular problems related to drugs, but the mere fact that her death became a spectacle was absurd and despicable.
A friend of ours who lives in the same neighborhood where Heath and Michele lives in Brooklyn says that it's becoming a media "circus" and that's really sad and to have this heartless, personality disordered, grandiose man, Gibson, say what he just said is compassionless and unappeasable. So there, I've said my piece.

We all say things we regret right? you all know me and how i open my mouth to change feet. this guy might be a jerk but he is entitled to his opinion and after thinking about it, I am sure he probably feels bad. at least we would hope. it is all in the delivery right? not to get off topic, i am going to try to be diplomatic here. I personally and honestly could care less about heath ledger. oh, it totally sucks he died dont get me wrong, but how many people die today and dont get press about it? this is what is all about right? The publicity machine so to speak... we glorify these celebrities to no end, kind of disgusting, i am guilty with my rants of the divas I think are the greatest creatures on earth. but heath and the rest of them are just the same as everyone else in reality. His autopsy was inconclusive right? what does that mean? when I see that, I can totally understand the shame that surrounds death sometimes, it leads me to think that is being covered up. Sure it is not our business and we should not really know why. I feel for his family and their desire for the autopsy to be inconclusive. however, i had a friend that died and sure as hell to this day if I know the real reason. saying nothing sometimes speaks volumes. Another friend who died from a drug overdose is a different story. his mother struggled with his usage for years. she was forthcoming and outright about it. I think if it is out there and published and we are expected to pause and feel sympathetic, they should stop holding back the exact reason. why not say why? because it might do damage to a movie release soon? I think if more people were honest about it and used the celebrity aspect it might bring light to the issues and perhaps it would not be such a problem or so shameful. the funny thing is, we are alledgedly not talking about illegal drugs in this guys death...it was prescription drugs, which is a really big problem if it is true.
