A Blizzard of Words: Palin at the VP Debate

media, politics Add comments

A picture is worth a thousand words, particularly in this case. Below is a word cloud of Palin’s answers in the Vice Presidential debate with Joe Biden. Words that were said more frequently are larger, also, relative to others, also. Very interesting, don’t you think? Reminds me of the “blizzard of words” comment made by Charlie Gibson during the first Palin interviews.

“And the winner for Miss Congeniality is!” See this what happens you have not vetted a candidate properly. Just a blizzard of words that if you put it together does not mean anything. Nothing!

  2. Rick Says:

Where’s the word Maverick? maybe i am missing it but it should have been one of the largest. :D

Chad: any word cloud where words are omitted will be a blizzard of words that don’t mean anything. Try it with War and Peace, similar results I am sure.

Have you seen this article…. http://www.slate.com/id/2201158/

This is sooo funny, especially for a big nerd like me who remembers diagramming sentences! ;-)

  4. Trader Rick Says:

Yeah, Palin sure did blow the old Biden out of the water didn’t she? He was astounded and didn’t know what to do, so he just resorted to the old talking point lies. Poor guy.Embarrasing for him…

  5. Chad Says:

Yah Trader Rick. Sarah ‘you betcha’ Palin blew most of us with her nonsensical statements and views of the state of this country. She kept on smiling and looking cute as if this was some sort of Miss Personality contest. She has proven again that she is very much clueless and NEVER once offered any specific details.
On top of it, she was patronizing towards Joe Biden. But that’s okay right, because it came from a woman. And here’s my question to individuals like you. How can America be so tolerant of such mediocrity? Why??

  6. Trader Rick Says:

Chad, the really funny thing is that the bottom of the Republican ticket, is much more qualified to be POTUS than the top of the democrat ticket. Study the resumes.

  7. Chad Says:

You betcha I did and you might want to do the same, tsk.

  8. Mitch Says:

Are all Republicans like sheep… going to slaughter?! Pathetic…
