“This is a fantastic campaign! It has what the Mormon church is doing spot on!
Discimination is discimination! Gay rights are needed…”
This is just precious. And a lot of truth in it. While it may not present the view of all Mormons, it certainly presents the view of the LDS church and their leaders, and those mortgaging their homes and their families futures in support of Prop 8. Enjoy.
Note: If you have trouble viewing the video, I have also provided a locally hosted version.

This ad is more hateful and bigoted than anything put out by the Yes on 8 camp, and it represents a new low for this campaign. Orthodox Jews have been big supporters of Prop. 8 too — would you feel the same way if this ad featured a stereotypically hawk-nosed, black-robed Rabbi storming in and doing the same thing? Or, would that come off as hateful and bigoted?

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints leaders issued this statement today:
“The Church has joined a broad-based coalition in defense of traditional marriage. While we feel this is important to all of society, we have always emphasized that respect be given to those who feel differently on this issue. It is unfortunate that some who oppose this proposition have not given the Church this same courtesy.”
This video viscously misrepresents the position of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Oh my gosh. What a retarted website. Read the prop, duh! It says “between *a* man and *a* women.” Now, if it said “between men and women,” then there would be a problem. Pologomy is not something desired for by mormons, and it is, infact, one of the least understood things in all of mormon culture, even by mormons. WE DON’T WANT IT, and WE AREN’T LOBBYING FOR IT.

They be teaching you some good grammars and spelling at BYU there eh? The site is quite tarty I must say… And I didn’t realize mormons were against polo shirts (pologomy). Poor thing. Not a first class education is it?

I am amazed that someone would revert to childish schemes to make an irrelevant point, so I’m sorry to tell you this Hate the Smears, but all you have accomplished is make yourself look the idiot, and the intolerant one here.
Furthermore I find it absolutely incredible that people would be posting such corrupt and false information. The church itself has not donated money to the cause, but has collected donations from willing members of the church (who knew the purpose of their donation) and has sent it to the coalition to protect marriage.
Furthermore this advertisement is absolutely ridiculous and false. As the Mormon missionaries have not been used at any point in the campaign to spread information, and there has never been any incident of something like this happening because of the Mormon Church.
This is an atrocity, and I find that the campaign trying to spread “tolerance” has just undermined their entire purpose by posting a hateful advertisement.

It seems you’re more intolerant of my religion than my tolerance for gay marriage. This is false advertising and twisting of the truth - if you really want to know what Mormons believe go to http://www.mormons.org.

This video is absolutely correct about these Mormon creatures. They terrorized my family when we were living in New Mexico. Every night they pounded on our door. Mormons are absolutely ruthless in their trying to convert people to their god-awful religion. And, they hate Jews. We finally got rid of these monsters only after telling them we were Jews. This was back in 1953.
Again I encountered these absolutely wretched people, when I move to the Mission District of San Francisco. They prey on people who are vulnerable. They have no compassion. Again I could only get rid of them by telling them I was Jewish. They are Nazis!
And, they don’t get it, they are clueless why so many people hate them. Their religion is a religion of hate and intolerance!
Still angry with the Mormons after 55 years!
