Jasmyne Cannick… Fox News favorite black lesbian?

Jasmyne Cannick was on Fox News… again. How many times has she been on since Prop 8 passed? Has she appeared on any of the other networks? Doesn’t she realize she is being used? Fox News has never cared about civil rights or the black community, because it’s viewers don’t. Fox News is hardly a big tent network, and they are using her to drive a larger and more destructive wedge between gays and blacks. You know Fox News fans are eating it up. Here’s the clip.

And here is the LA Times Op Ed mentioned in the clip.

Cannick is a moron and shame on any news station that gives her even 1 second of airtime, but I do take issue with the very broad brush statement that Fox News viewers don’t care about civil rights or the black community. Perhaps I hold “Inside Looking Out” to a very high standard, but I just don’t broad generalizations especially when I am a viewer of Fox News (as well as many other news stations) and I do care about those things (as well as many other things).

Gays in the media in general is very exciting. We have a new voice, much like I remember feeling in the early 90s when Clinton was elected. No longer to do we need to fear. Now let us turn our human attention to the international issues like Africa. It is terrible what is happening in Somalia, Darfu, etc. Peace. http://www.northernvox.com

Cannick is is simply misdirected and will be drowned out by her gay brothers and sisters who are fighting for their civil rights …and hers as well.
