It is a civil rights issue. You are simply, and let me put it in simple terms - when you DISCRIMINATE based on race, gender, religion, and sexuality. It is a civil rights issue.

This has been said over and over again, that we are at war and here we are -- improperly discharging soldiers because of what, who they are.

The US military does not even have proof that these soldiers have committed any sexual acts that justifies their discharge. Nothing! Except that they happen to be gay or lesbian.

The issue here is that this country talks soo much about national safety and here we are, letting go of highly qualified individuals. The US military, as a whole, is a joke and the Office of the President is allowing them to continue with this gay and lesbian witch hunt.

We continue to be the laughing stock of the world when it comes to human rights issue. Someday, I hope that this will all come to past and I hope John McCain lives long enough to recant his utterly stupid, ignorant remark. It won't be his first.
