Senator ByrdIt seems teabaggers took Senator Coburn’s instructions to heart and prayed that one of the sixty senators expected to vote for healthcare reform would fail to show up for a crucial vote. A caller into C-Span this morning said he and his fellow tea baggers held a vigil and prayed for the death of Senator Byrd from West Virginia. Watch:

Teabaggers and religious wackos praying for the death of public servants is certainly nothing new. But having a senator initiate that call to action is an entirely different matter. It only takes one inhinged individual to do us ALL harm. Just one.

I don’t think it’s that easy (ask any college student who has prayed for a good grade. I do wonder though if, when Byrd was a member of the Klan: Did he pray for anyone to die? Just curious…

“If god listened to the prayers of men, all men would quickly have perished; for they are for ever praying for evil against one another.”

Spreading ill-will isn’t being a very nice person. I won’t get into any specific dogma, but people in general should be against wishing the death of another human. I’m against wishing for the death of rapists and horrible people just as much as that of innocent individuals. What is wrong with these people?

This is so outrageous, I am simply speechless!

I am excited about the bill that is about to pass. Even though it is missing a lot of stuff. The truth is that the Us is simply too behind on health care. We can’t change everything drastically at once.
